Electronic devices everywhere
Yesterday I was on my way home on the train like every day of the week, back from work. You can do a limited number of things during those long trips to and from work. You can read a book... or you can check your cellphone and even check the internet if you have internet and if you have reception, if you are in the underground forget about it. Anyway, I decided to check facebook...there was nothing new, I had to find something else to do during the forty minutes that takes me to get home. I noticed that everyone has decided to take out any electronic device they had with them. The guy on the right (Italian I think, I´m bad at recognizing nationalities) was checking his big smart phone (Iphone i think, I´m bad at recognizing phones). His lady companion was checking her phone too, and the two guys opposite to them were checking their phones as well.
In the middle of the train there one was guy with his child. I suppose the child (a little cute girl, less than 2 years probably, I don´t know, I´m very bad at guessing the age of people) was getting bored so he gave her his big Iphone or something like that. I was with my phone at the time, sliding my finger accross the screen passing pictures on facebook. The child was doing the same, just randomly sliding her finger along the screen, moving icons around, making a mess. Of course, what had to happen happened, the child accidentally dropped the cellphone... so the dad got mad and took the phone, and then the child was angry and started crying like crazy. All the passengers were so lucky, we had the honour of listening to the child's cry for the rest of the trip.
I turned to my left, trying not to look at the child because it´s awkward when a child is crying and the poor dad doesn´t know what to do, and I looked at the girl on my left and I saw she was reading a book! Halleluya! , someone is not using a fricking electronic device........ I took a closer look at the book........ it was an e-book reader....
